Without a bunch of other junk stuff in the way
I'm currently trying to figure out why my external CSS doesn't link to this page. Oh wait... I might have just figured it out.
No... I didn't...
Anyway I am currently going through W3Schools tutorials and practicing with each section. Trying to add somethig something new to this page every time. I'd love to be able to create a click-through psychological horror game, but it takes sooo much time to learn each step. And I'm just on the web dev side, not even game development! So much to learn.
Ib was the first game I saw Markiplier play, way back in 2014. Though I wouldn't realize it until much later, I knew I wanted to create something just as unsettling as I felt back then. I'm not sure if Ib still holds up, I haven't watched or played it in a while.
Fran Bow was another one of the first horror games I saw Markiplier play. I still haven't done a whole playthrough myself after all these years. It really resonated with me, from the disgusting clinical environment to the confusion and exhaustion of being a sick little girl.
I learned how to make an unordered list! Here are some stuff I've been excited about recently.
My hope is that today, since I'm starting earlier, I'll be able to learn and apply more tools into this page. I want this particular page to get more elaborate as I scroll and learn more tricks. I might be working on tables today? OMG and buttons!!
Is this embedding? I still don't know quite what embedding something is. I'm putting an iframe below this text. If I did it right, it should show a small frame of the site 147 Colors, which is a reference point for the named CSS colors.
Great, it did work. Now I'm going to practice making a navbar... I know we're pretty far down the screen for one of those but bear with me.
It worked but not as nicely as I wanted it to. I'm not sure why these links are staying grey in the background even though I took it out of styles.css?
Smoke break over! Time for a new project. I would like to build a flexbox gallery in the style I'm learning from freeCodeCamp
Feeling incredibly stuck at 1:24 PM. The divs won't respond to CSS styling and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong so I commented it out. Shifting back to freeCodeCamp for the rest of my session.
UGH.
I lied, I'm going to browse the below sites to hoard stamps and blinkies.
Progress has been made post-blinkie-hoarding! Let's see if I can make this work.
Tapping out at 2:49 PM, my brain is tired. I didn't get the exact layout I wanted of the test gallery, but it's all visible and the CSS is connected properly now so that's HUGE progress.
Started a little later today, I was working on some freeCodeCamp labs but I just couldn't get into it. I definitely need more practice when it gets beyond fonts, colors, images. The flexbox layout hasn't quite clicked in my noggin yet.
I learned about HTML Computercode today on W3Schools. Here is an example:
var me = {
firstName:"Ignis",
lastName:"Ackerman"
}
Learning about this will help me document my learning process for future coding languages I'd like to work with.
Today I am sleepy. I have been focusing on freeCodeCamp and W3Schools. I am moving for the summer and all my brain power is focused on that.
